Rick Shea will again host a Songwriters Showcase on Sunday, October 30, at McCabes featuring Tony Gilkyson, (who comes from a family of acclaimed songwriters and has played with everyone from Bob Dylan and Lone Justice to X), and Cindy Lee Berryhill, (an original and defining force of the “anti-folk” movement and a highly acclaimed songwriter herself). Aside from the time she spent in New York City, Cindy Lee Berryhill has resided mostly in the San Diego area and toured and played locally from her home there. Tony Gilkyson hails from Hollywood and Pasadena and the general Southwest, while Shea has been living in the east San Gabriel Valley with his family for a number of years.I'll be hosting good friends Tony Gilkyson and Cindy Lee Berryhill. We'll each play a solo set and then join up for a set together.
